Program Description and Objectives
The Diploma of Canine Fitness is designed to give the student a strong foundational knowledge in canine fitness. This program will be of value to anyone who works with dogs professionally in canine sports, or in the role of trainer, behavior consultant, or other profession or as personal interest. Students can expect to do a lot of reading and learning in this program of study. Most of the questions require short answers, calculations, and/or analysis. There are a limited number of essay questions as well.

This program requires approximately 200 work-hours; 20 hours in actual assignment preparation.
Graduates will receive a Canine Fitness certificate (Cert.CF).

- Sports, Rally-O, obedience, agility, flyball, lure-coursing
- Conditioning programs
- Jumping, movements, trajectory, leg positions
- Exercise, warm-ups, cool-downs, indoor and outdoor exercises
- Fitness
- Special Populations, brachycephalic, obesity, performance, geriatrics
- Limited mobility, canine and human
- Pre-existing conditions and injuries
- Sprains, strains, fractures
- Therapies and Rehabilitation, acupuncture, chiropractics, massage
